SINGAPORE SOCIETY OF PATHOLOGY - BD AWARD IN PATHOLOGY 2019
Working together with our longstanding partner, Becton Dickinson (BD), the BD Award is given to a pathologist who, in the opinion of the selection committee, has made a significant contribution to the practice of any of the disciplines of Pathology in Singapore. The award (SGD1,500) will be presented at the SSP AGM on 19/11/2019, followed by an oration by the award winner.

Terms of the Award:
1. The award is given to a pathologist who, in the opinion of the selection committee, has made a significant contribution to the practice of any of the disciplines of pathology in Singapore.
2. The award is open to all qualified and registered members of the medical profession and suitably qualified science graduates in the various branches of
Pathology.
3. Nominees must be active in the practice of Pathology at the time of nominations.
4. Nominations will only be accepted from members of the Singapore Society of Pathology. Each nomination must be seconded by another member of the society.
5. Nominations will be made on the attached nomination form and must be accompanied by a resume of the nominee and an outline of the contributions
he/she has made to the practice of Pathology in Singapore. The nominee shall also indicate on the form his willingness to accept the award.
6. The selection committee shall comprise no fewer than four and no more than six members, and shall be chaired by the President of the society.
7. The award shall be presented at the Annual General Meeting of the Society, during which a 45 minute oration shall be delivered by the award-winner.
